The magazine of the forest sector
Dear friends and B.Forest readers,
Dear friends and B.Forest readers,
A turbulent year is coming to an end and the coming of a new cycle in Brazil’s economic and political scenario drives hope that many setbacks disrupting the ex-pansion of our industries may be lessened, promoting greater progress and economic development. Brazil, a country which has gone through so many difficulties in its past and continues to face challenges in the present, can only bet on new horizons to define its future as a nation.
In order to do our part in paving this path, B.Forest magazine selects monthly themes to bring our readers up to date on the many areas of the forestry sector. In this issue, the main articles deal with topics such as: the impacts of the new outsourcing laws in Brazil; innovative for-estry engines, international emission stan-dards and fuel quality; the current state of the eucalyptus and ironworks sectors in Minas Gerais; and the innovations of a new players looking to gain its share of the Brazilian market.
And the special guest this month is Thiago Cibim, general operations manag-er at John Deere Forestry in Brazil. In his first time speaking to the B.Forest readers, Cibim talks about the main challenges in leading the strategies of a multinational company with such an extensive portfolio as John Deere. Don’t miss it!
